What an amazing day!!!  Of course, you were all right when you said things would go wrong. We forgot my reception jacket, they forgot until the last minute to hand out programs, and of course I left every toiletry you could imagine at home!!  Past all of that it was still the most amazing night of my life!!  The way Mike looked at me as he said his vows...every person should know what that feels like.  He teared up, I teared up, the minister teared up, and I think I even heard a bird fly by sniffling.  I want to thank so many people for this wonderful night.  Lauren from Shay Brown Events was so wonderful.  She made sure we all knew what we were doing.  If you ever work with Shay Brown Events, you must insist she be involved.  She made us all feel special and that she was in control.  Valerie from Victoria Place Salon and Spa not only made me look like those brides I would see in all those bride magazines, but she and Jennifer made the whole bridal party look like movie stars.  Katherin Yacobi from Kara Spa has been my hair dresser for years, and she gave me the best hair I've ever had!!  She was amazing.  Trust me I get nothing for telling you this.  I paid all of these people out of my own pocket.  I tell you about these amazing people because when you have a special occasion of your own, I want it to be as wonderful for you as it was for me.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to all of you have read this silly blog day after day and written me congratulations.  It means the world to me that you would care and be so loving with me.

Ok... so a few things have been going on, so I am just now gettting to update you! THE DAY IS HERE!!! What am I going to do? I forgot my make-up, brush, the gifts for the bridesmaids....what else!! Arghh! But so far, so good for someone who is going crazy with excitement! So here you will get to see the whole 2 days unfold thanks to Kelly Giezentanner Photography. So keep checking back to see what all happens before 7pm tonight! I just hope I can keep all of my hair!

Why why why now?! Last night was quite the night for my family. We lost my uncle Joe somewhere in Philly. He was flying in from Scotland for my wedding with his grandson. They were supposed to be on the 10:30 flight from Philly into Charlotte. They were not on the flight and no one had heard from them. After much investigation we found out they were booked a morning flight this morning and at 7:20 this morning here they come laughing and smiling off the flight. You ever want to hug and slug someone at the same time ?? I'm just so happy they are safe. I have a quick confession. The excitment of my wedding day is really taking over..So happy. It's taking me back to being a kid at Christmas and Mike is my Chatty Kathy  doll. I just can't believe he'll be mine in a few days !!!

Only 4 days left until the wedding. You know I think one of my favorite things so far are the people who offer you good luck and great advice !! I hear some great love stories from people who have just gotten married or who  are celebrating many years of wedded bliss. We hear about so much of the bad and never about the good. Trust me one thing I have learned from all of this is that there are so many extraordinary love stories out there that we never hear about. I hope to be one myself

Yesterday I spent the day doing (sorry about this guy readers) doing bra fittings . There is a place on Haywood road, can not remember the name of the place but it's next to Babies are Us. Let me tell you it was costly but soooo worth it. Bill and Kix both commented this morning on what the heck I did to the girls. The bra ended up costing 66 dollars (ouch) but again for those like me who need the help well worth it !!

Then one more piece of advice. This one for my pale pale friends. I'm so pale I'm almost blue. So yesterday I went to Planet Beach. I never had been before. I loved it. I did a Hydro derma fusion treatment it was amazing. It's like a big steam bed that softenes your skin then it was of to a bronzing bed then a spray tan. I liked the spray tan because it was in a booth, just me and a little voice telling me which way to turn. The best thing is I look normal, you know like maybe I've seen the outside world more than once. Again well worth it !! Hey a little heads up for those who like to tan they have a September special  50 dollars unlimited tanning and SPA TREATMENTS, gotta love it !!! Now this is for their Greenridge location only. Be sure and ask about some of the facial and skin treatments. Of course Friday I'll be at Victoria Place salon and Spa in Greer . I feel like an old chevy in the middle of getting restored !!

Well we finally ordered Mike's ring and it's ready for pick up !! It was so funny after we ordered it the man looked at us and asked what we wanted inscribed on the inside. We were like...uuuhhh... We had not even thought about it. My ring is an eternity ring so you can not inscribe anything on the inside. We just said put the date 9/19/08 and then the word "forever". Once we got in the car we thought about it a bit more and wished we would have chosen "Prayin for the end of time", you know from Paradise by the Dashboard Lights. We both love that song and laughed all the way home about it.

I was thinking it would be great to get together with some of you who did this whole soup diet with us. Bill and I thought what better place than the Susan G. Koeman Walk for the Cure Sept. 27th. It's for a good cause, we get great exercise and we can all talk about what we loved and HATED about that diet and maybe what you are doing now to get fit and for those that need a little encourgament this would be a great enviroment for that as well. Go back to our main page and register as a Whistle Walker and walk with Bill and I for a great cause and of course for that sound our thighs make as they slap together, don't act like you don'y know what I'm talking about !!!

My great friend Kathy Sinkhorn...you remember her... the one who lost a fingernail in the Thanksgiving turkey...had a beautiful bridal shower for me this past Saturday at her house. We had mimosa's and some really awesome food! No fingernails this time though! If you would like to see some photos, click here!

I have found that those of us over 40 who are getting married for the first time need a make up run through and thats what I'm doing today. Victoria Place Spa in Greer is doing my make-up  and my bridesmaids the day of the wedding. Again those of you who are getting married in your twenties are thinking what a waist of money, talk to me when your 41 :) So the make-up artist wants to get the feel of my face and see what colors work for me and stuff like that.  You should really check around if you are getting married and want your hair and make-up done by the pro's for you, it's more affordable than you might think. Now if I can just find a plastic surgeon that makes house calls  !!
